This Privacy Policy explains how Nightee (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
1. Data CollectionWe collect a limited amount of information necessary to provide and maintain the Nightee experience. This includes:
- Email address — used solely for user identification and account access.
- Gender — as specified by the user.
- Age — as specified by the user.
- Geolocation — used exclusively to display approximate distance between users. Exact location is never shared or publicly visible
We also temporarily store
messages and media files (such as photos, videos, or audio) exchanged in chats to ensure message delivery and synchronization between users.
All chat data is securely
encrypted using AES-256-GCM and automatically
deleted within 24 hours or earlier after transmission. Once deleted, this information
cannot be recovered.
Nightee, its developers, and any third parties
do not have access to the content of private conversations or shared media files.
All encrypted data remains inaccessible to anyone other than the communicating users themselves.
2. Data StorageWe temporarily store messages and media files (such as photos, videos, or audio) exchanged in chats. All such content is securely
encrypted and automatically
deleted after processing or delivery. Nightee
does not have access to the content of private messages or media shared between users.
3. Data UsageWe use the information you provide only to deliver a safe, seamless, and personalized experience inside Nightee. Specifically, your data helps us to:
- Enable chat features and connect users within the app.
- Display approximate distance between users when location sharing is enabled.
- Maintain technical stability, detect bugs, and improve performance.
- Ensure compliance with our community safety and moderation standards
We
do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising, marketing, or tracking outside of Nightee.
4. Sharing Data with Third PartiesNightee does
not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We use a limited number of trusted service providers to help us operate and improve the app:
- Firebase (by Google) — for analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Adapty — for managing in-app subscriptions and payment validation.
These partners process information strictly on our behalf and under confidentiality agreements. They cannot access, store, or use your personal data for any other purpose.
We do
not share chat messages, media files, or user identities with any external parties.
5. Handling ComplaintsIf a user submits a complaint or report, related content may be reviewed by our moderation team to ensure it complies with Nightee’s community guidelines.
Such reviews are performed solely for the purpose of maintaining a respectful and safe environment within the app.
While we aim to address reports promptly,
immediate removal of reported content cannot be guaranteed.
6. How Users Can Revoke ConsentUsers can withdraw their consent and delete their Nightee account at any time.
Account deletion is available directly within the app settings and results in the
permanent removal of all personal information, including profile data, messages, and media files.
After an account is deleted, related information is securely erased from our servers within a reasonable period of time and cannot be recovered.

7. Push NotificationsNightee may send
push notifications to inform users about new messages, updates, or relevant activity within the app.
These notifications are optional, and users can
disable them at any time through their device settings.
8. In-App Purchases and SubscriptionsNightee may offer access to premium features through
in-app purchases or subscriptions.
All payments are processed securely by
Apple via the App Store.
We use Adapty to manage subscription logic, purchase validation, and user access.
Adapty processes only the information required to verify purchases and does
not have access to any personal data, chat messages, or media files.
Refunds for purchases are handled according to
Apple’s App Store refund policies. Nightee is not responsible for refund decisions made by Apple.
9. Age RestrictionNightee is intended
for adults only (18+).
We do not knowingly collect, store, or process any personal information from individuals under the age of 18.
By using Nightee, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally permitted to access age-restricted communication services in your country.
If we become aware that information has been provided by a user under 18, such data will be
immediately deleted and the associated account
permanently removed and banned.
11. Service Limitations and User AccountabilityNightee is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable space for communication, but users are
fully responsible for their own actions and shared content.
We cannot be held liable for any misuse of the app, violations of community rules, or the transmission of prohibited material by users.
The service is offered
on an “as is” basis, without guarantees that it will always operate without interruptions or technical errors.
In the event of bugs, downtime, or suspension of the app, Nightee’s responsibility is limited to the scope of
active paid subscriptions.
Additionally, certain features rely on
third-party technologies (including
Firebase and
Adapty).
While we use only trusted providers, we are
not responsible for their independent performance or availability.
12. Changes to This PolicyWe may update these Terms as our services evolve or as required by law.
The latest version will always be available within the app or on our official website.
Continued use of Nightee after any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of
